Arizona requires individuals applying for home inspector, to undergo a fingerprint clearance process. This involves a background check conducted by the Arizona Depart. of Public Safety (DPS) to ensure the applicant's suitability.

State Board of Technical Registration

The AZBTR oversees home inspector certification in Arizona. To become a licensed home inspector, candidates must pass an exam, provide a fingerprint clearance card, complete 84 hours of training, and finish 30 supervised home inspections. Licensed inspectors are listed in the Board's Professional Search.
